Tintin books – everlasting works of Hergé – have many fans all over the world. Iran is no exception to the rule and Tintin books have entered the book market in Iran for decades.
The Iranian middle-aged and parents, have many memories and a lot of nostalgia about colored comic books.
In the seventies and eighties, when we were children, modern communication tools nowhere to be found. At the same time, television networks were limited to two channels broadcasting only a few hours per day. The Iran – Iraq War, had made the situation worse and affected the quality of printed books and access to paper.
All these had led to a situation in which finding a complete series of Tintin books became very difficult for us.
Now, years later, these books being re-published, and even over the Internet, one can find scanned versions of these books to download.
However, to be honest, these books never have the smell of those old faded books.
